We Love Green is a French festival concerned with today’s environmental problematic. Through the intermediary of music, they aim to raise awareness about the ecological cause and therefore encourage everyone to change their behavior. The main scene is entirely powered by solar energy, composting toilets and free water fountains are available on site (cause plastic is going to kill us someday my friends). They recycle waste, organize workshops about the planet’s preservation, give away unsold products to charities and much more. The line-up is absolutely amazing, this year’s session is hosting DJs such as Nicolas Jaar, Solange, Maceo Plex or Recondite. Grab your ticket right now.

Meadows in the Mountains will take you to another dimension. Its experimental music, art and location – in the secretive Bulgarian Rhodope Mountains – will make you feel like a hippie in a magical world just the time of a week-end. I would love to go there and will write an article about my experience if I manage to go. Wait for it ! In the meantime, watch and enjoy this video (available here) to give you a taste of the dream festival.

The line-up of Secret Solstice is often (well, pretty much always) incredibly cool. Even the most grumpy people in the world would enjoy this festival simply because there are so many awesome activities to do there. You can party in a glacier, in hot baths, enjoy breath-taking landscapes just a few kilometer away from the site and above all my friends, see the midnight sun. I won’t tell you more and let you watch this piece of art (available here).

If you go to Træna, you should expect to camp in the wilderness nearby the sea, dance all night in a huge cave done up as a stage (the Kirkhellenren) , eat fresh fish (Træna is a fishing village) and wake up with majestic sea eagles above your head. It is an exclusive and very unique experience that you will live on a small island, far from home and close to people (very close actually, cause it will be cold). Go check it out, it looks fantastic.

Want to party in an 18th century fortress build along the Danube river ? Exit is an award-winning festival, with a dozens of scenes and dance floors where you’ll have the pleasure to hear some of the biggest DJs in the World. This festival is perfect for musically open-minded people; this year’s line-up announces Rag’n’Bone Man, Lost Frequencies, Jamie Jones, Robin Shulz and plenty more. What I like about this festival is its history. It began in 2000 as a student protest against the government and is still quite committed today.

DGTL Amsterdam is not only a festival but also a concept, trying to raise festival’s standards as much as possible. This year, the festival will take place in April, a bit early for summer you’d tell me, but it felt necessary to tell you about this one. It combines good electronic music with great art projects, exhibitions and healthy food. DGTL is extremely concerned with the environmental and societal impact of their festivals. They focus on developing new technologies for a more sustainable event, calling for local participation or promoting vegetarian food. Its unique and human commitment makes this festival an incredible and unforgettable life experience.

These festivals are part of a brand new concept coming from Sweden. If you like dancing and raving in isolated industrial locations, this festival is for you. This year, Into the Valley will take place in the heart of Rummu quary, Estonia. This place used to be a prison back in the 30s and has now been transformed into a photo shooting and sport area. Into the factory is happening in august in the industrial site of Stora Vika, a few kilometers from Stockholm, Sweden. This festival is totally new but very promising, offering the opportunity to enjoy excellent electro music in exclusive and isolated venues all around Europe. If you are ready to go further, ‘Into the castle’ is happening in Africa soon.
